Standards are a key tool to deploy digital solutions to any process. In aquaculture, and fish health and welfare especially, this is of the essence.
By using standards we can address the most relevant issues in fish health and welfare based on industry wide datasets, uniform understanding of terms and definitions as well as being able to share this information and knowledge for the best of the fish we care for
AquaCloud actively contributes to the development of standards at multiple levels—formally
through Norsk Standard, technically through expert collaboration, and in practice as industry-adopted solutions.
Our goal is to improve data quality, enable shared language, and support smarter decisions across the
aquaculture value chain. Below are three key standards we’ve helped shape, and we remain committed
to advancing future work that strengthens and standardizes the industry.
NS 9417 provides a shared terminology and documentation method for the entire aquaculture value chain.
Standardisating the causes of losses and mortalies enables systematic benchmarking across companies, and general improvement
Utilising the entire sensor coverage from the industry makes for unique situational awareness - for industry and society
