Data Sharing and Digital Standards for the Aquaculture Industry

AquaCloud connects the industry through four main workflows

Data Platform

The Data Platform contains unique high-resolution data on operations collected from participating companies along the coast, which is masked and supplemented with external data for holistic datasets. Data which is to be shared with innovators and service providers who creates value back to the fish farmers.

Sensor DatA STANDARDS

The amount of sensors used today is growing, and the amount of data possible to gather even more so. This IoT-based standard for sensors secures well-described semantic models, enables any system built upon it to scale with growing industry requirements, and makes data accessible and shareable towards those who can help find answers in the growing datasets.

I havbruksselskapene i […]

Modeller viser at moderate forbedringer gir […]

Progress despite difficult circumstances

The standardization project for Sensor Data in the aquaculture industry is steadily making progress towards its first version. This in spite of the current situation we all find ourselves in now. Work has been more challenging without the possibility to travel and meet face to face, but we are positive we will soon see results […]

Growing industry interest for AquaCloud

For the project aimed at standardizing sensor data, AquaCloud has received a wide industry support. The list of interested companies registered for the project is growing every day. 36 companies attended the kick-off and in total 61 companies have registered on different levels in the project. Here is the list of companies registered today: Aanderaa […]

Behind AquaCloud is Norway’s leading seafood companies

AquaCloud was established in 2017 and is a big data project anchored in the aquaculture industry’s need to solve common challenges in order to create sustainable growth.

The project is part of NCE Seafood Innovation and began together with cluster members Lerøy Seafood Group ASA, Grieg Seafood ASA, Mowi ASA, Bremnes Seashore AS, Lingalaks AS, Eide Fjordbruk, and Bolaks AS. The project has developed substantially since 2017, and today the project involve a even broader group of leading aquaculture companies.

Moving forward, we welcome other companies to take part in the future of the seafood industry where actors collaborate on common challenges by adopting open standards.
